Performance & Ride Characteristics

The 2023 Harley-Davidson® Freewheeler® available at Harley-Davidson® of New Port Richey is powered by the Milwaukee-Eight® 114 V-Twin engine. This is a powerful engine that the brand uses for many of its tourers, and while it delivers more than enough performance for the average rider, it also gives you the option of upgrading it to performance levels in line with the Milwaukee-Eight® 117. Advanced electronic rider-assistance technologies are included standard, and other notable characteristics include two-up riding, upright rider positioning, floorboards and a trunk.

Design Options

The Freewheeler® has traditionally had a classic chrome aesthetic, but the brand has made the decision with the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Freewheeler® to transition to a more modern black finish. Vivid Black is the standard color included in the MSRP, and the new black-on-black aesthetic is quite striking. There are also two premium options available: White Sand Pearl and Bright Billiard Blue with Billiard Gray.

You can outfit the Freewheeler® as a tourer, and that is preferable if you prefer the no fairing. The Tri Glide® Ultra has the batwing fairing and comes direct from the factory with popular touring upgrades, such as the touring pack with passenger backrest. The Road Glide® 3, which is a new model introduced this year, is a bit more stripped down like the Freewheeler® but is the alternative for the rider who prefers the shark-nosed faring.
