H-D Florida Group - COVID-19 Information

Updated June 20, 2022 – As a valued Harley-Davidson Guest, we appreciate your business and the trust you've placed in us over the years. Our community continues to face the challenges presented by the presence of COVID-19 and we continue to take measures to protect the well-being of our employees, our Guests and the communities we serve.

We regularly monitor and adheres to CDC guidelines including the recommendations for Quarantine and Isolation COVID-19 Quarantine and Isolation | CDC

We continue to take additional precautions regarding hygiene and cleanliness beyond our routine cleaning during a normal flu season. 

These include: 

Personal Hygiene, Social Distancing & Dealership Cleaning

Employees are asked to practice frequent hand washing with soap and water for 20 seconds or longer and adhere to recommended social distancing practices.

Employees are asked to stay home if sick, avoid contact with people who are sick and are requested to follow the CDC guidelines for Quarantine and Isolation.

Hand-sanitizing stations have been installed throughout each dealership for Guests and employees.  

Frequency of cleaning our dealerships and motorcycles has been increased, and we are using protocols and products effective against viruses. These include public spaces, high-touch areas, personal work spaces, counters, desks & keyboards, doors & door handles, bathrooms, and motorcycle keys, handlebars and seats, and any spaces where employees work “behind the scenes”.  

Harley--Davidson of Tampa, Brandon, New Port Richey and Panama City Beach Management is on stand-by 24/7 to support our dealerships and coordinate additional efforts should they become necessary.  

Retail Business
All of our dealerships are open for business as well as our Internet Sales Department who is prepared to serve any Guest who desires to purchase a motorcycle from the comfort of their home or office.

Internet Sales and Finance Department Capabilities
 1. Manage your motorcycle transaction using website, text, phone and email.
 2. Request a virtual test ride or product features video presentation.
 3. Request a test ride motorcycle be delivered to your home or office.
 4. Complete financing applications online.
 5. Conduct the motorcycle delivery process, including all paperwork from your home or office.

An update to our Harley-Davidson Family & Team,

This third announcement serves to provide some background and clarification on the recent Stay-At-Home order issued by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Residents may leave their residences to perform essential activities or to obtain necessary supplies. Please refer to the order for a complete list of essential activities and necessary supplies. You can find a copy of the order HERE.

We intend to remain open for business at each of our H-D Florida dealerships, but will be making additional adjustments starting this Monday, April 6th. Please see updates to our hours of operation by clicking on the “Map & Hours” tab. Team Members and Harley-Davidson Guests may print this announcement if needed, as proof that you work for, or intend to visit, a business that has been deemed essential.

H-D Florida’s commitment to health & safety, and abiding the CDC guidelines has not wavered; our standard operating procedures remain (but are not limited to) the following:

· Riding Academy Course will remain open; RA Coaches and Students have their own supply of cleaning products for training room, supplies and bikes on the range.

· Adjustments to Sales & Service Department to make you more comfortable: Motorcycle pick up and drop off available for Service; Virtual demo rides, trade-in value & online shop-by-payment available; at-home demo rides & finance paperwork available; curb-side Parts & Motorclothes pick up available with payment over the phone or from your car window.

· Mandatory Social Distancing amongst Guests, Team & Friends; No handshakes, hugs, high-fives or other forms of contact.

· Often & thorough handwashing and dealership cleaning; hand sanitizers in all points of the dealerships and offices available to all; high traffic areas and office equipment cleaned every 30 minutes.

· Discontinued the use of gathering in the Guest lounge, complimentary food & snacks, weekend cookouts and group seating around the dealership outside.

· Adjustments to the Motorclothes Departments: Sanitary head socks (provided) for helmet fittings and clean long-sleeved t-shirts (not provided) for riding jacket fittings must be worn to try products on in General Merchandise. We have discontinued the use of fitting rooms and trying on any other merchandise at this time.

· A short-term adjustment to our “We Love Returns” policy: We are unable to accept any General Merchandise product returns if purchased on or after March 15, 2020 through the date in which our community is safe. Our Motorclothes Managers reserve the right to turn down any clothing returns during or before this time period, to keep our departments safe.

· Both onsite and offsite H-Florida events have been postponed through May 15th.

We anticipate that there will continue to be daily changes in our Nation. Our promise: to continue to keep weekly communications and updates to our Harley-Davidson Family and Team, with the health & safety at our forefront. Please let us know if there is any way we can assist you.

Our employees, guests and the communities we serve are our first priority and we are strictly adhering to all CDC and governmental guidelines regarding COVID-19.

Internet Sales Department is available to schedule in-home test rides, online bike selection, finance applications and deliver your motorcycle to your home of office. Contact us through website, text, email, phone or chat.

Motorcycle service may be scheduled online.

For the safety of our Guests and Team, we will be helping you in Motorclothes and Parts from a social distance, in order to comply with CDC guidelines. For your protection we will be providing sanitary head socks for helmet fittings and we have discontinued use of the fitting rooms. In addition, we require that you wear a clean long sleeve T-shirt in order to try on any riding jackets. 

Although we love returns, we are unable to accept any General Merchandise returns if the products were purchased on or after March 15, 2020 through the date in which our community is safe.

March 17, 2020

An update to our Team and Guests,

After tuning into the Panama City Beach City Hall special meeting this afternoon, we have been informed that The City of PCB has canceled all events until May 1, for the safety and welfare of their community. Unfortunately, this will include the Spring Thunder Beach Rally. We respect the decisions that the city has made, and will follow guidelines to keep our dealership safe and healthy.

In addition to this, all H-D Florida Group events (both onsite and offsite) will be either postponed to a later date or cancelled, through the end of April. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We are individually reaching out to our vendors & event partners, but if you have an event coming up with our Tampa, Brandon, New Port Richey or Panama City Beach H-D dealerships in the next 45 days, please send an email to our Marketing Director, Maggie, at and she will do her best to get your event or ride rescheduled as soon as our current situation allows.

For your safety, our complementary food & snacks in the lounge and weekend Grill N Chills will remain discontinued until further notice. We are stocking up on more sanitizing products, and committed to keeping our dealerships a clean and safe environment for our Guests to visit, relax and shop!

Our Riding Academy Course will remain open at this time; our RA Coaches and Students will have their own supply of cleaning and sanitizing products for the training room, supplies and bikes on the range.

If you are in need of assistance with your bike, or any other department, but are uncomfortable with coming into the dealership, give us a call and we will serve you over the phone or schedule a time for pick up/delivery of your motorcycle.

As this situation evolves, and the CDC & Governor announce changes to guidelines, we will continue to update our Guests weekly. We want riding your motorcycle to be the easiest thing you get to do all week! So please let us know if there is anything we can do to help make that happen.

The Harley-Davidson Florida Group considers our Team and Guests as family, and we care for the health of our Family. We want to continue to see smiling faces in our dealerships everyday, and out enjoying the thing we love most: riding motorcycles!

To help promote a healthy environment we are taking extra care in cleaning the highly used & common areas such as door handles, computers, keyboards, telephones, computer screens, all bathroom surfaces & appliances and the Guest lounge and soda fountains. For your safety, we will be discontinuing the complimentary food in our Guest lounge and the weekend cookouts. In addition, all offices, bathrooms and work stations are equipped with hand sanitizer to be used by all. This is a very fluid situation. As our Team learns more information about the COVID-19 virus, we will continue to update our Guests with regards to our H-D events & activities.

Each of our dealerships has briefed the Teams on the benefits of hand washing, keeping a respectful distance from each other (no handshakes, hugs or high-fives) and have encouraged our Team Members to stay home if they are feeling ill.  In return, for the sake of our Team Members and their families at home, we ask that our Guests refrain from coming into the dealership if you are feeling ill as well.

H-D Florida Group will continue to provide our Guest’s with a premium Harley-Davidson experience through this unfortunate situation, but we ask our Guests of the following: 

- If you have been exposed to Covid-19 (corona virus) and still need assistance from one out our departments, please give us a call ahead of time and we will find the safest way to serve you. 

- If we are picking up a motorcycle from your home, office, or road side assistance and you have been exposed to the virus, please alert us so that we can be prepared and take precautions, with gloves and cleaning supplies for handling your bike.
